When
I started working web layout designing, I simply started using mozilla firefox
for testing it, so I felt myself good about my designing skills as the out puts
was as I expected, definitely its for time being up to testing it on I E 6 later versions because Mozilla and latest
version browsers ignores some CSS minor errors (these minors could be mazor in
IE ).
When
I fixing browser compatibility for IE 6 +, commonly you face most basic problems
are, as I noticed at the beginning.
PNG images fixes
now
days IE 6 less user it can be omit.
Small white spaces in
between two <div> tag and,
Prepending white
space in <li> content.
found the simple solution for both error while doing dynamic
resizing all fonts inside the <BODY> tag with javascript, it was looks
like
*{
font-size:XX px;
}
And
the same techniques used for fixing this IE errors, after spending most of the
time in googling to find solution.
*{
Padding:0px;
Margin:0px;
}
Background images
couldn’t display in IE explorer even after using W3C standards.
I
think most of the designer knows about it.
Before
fixing IE<7 compatibility:
Div
{
Background:url(xyz.png) no-repeat center top;
}
fixing
the IE < 7:
Div
{
Background-image:url(xyz.png);
Background-repeat:no-repeat ;
Background-position:center top;
}
feels
good after finding the simplest solution.
